Enhancing the Cancer Registry with Cancer Data Quality Control
CHAMPS clients achieve a higher level of cancer data quality control and utilize that cancer information for setting and reaching business, accreditation, patient care and outreach goals.
Quality data is the foundation of a comprehensive cancer center, and therefore serves as the basis of every action we take as your Cancer Compliance CHAMPS.
CHAMPS consultants are empowered by advanced analytic tools developed in-house. These tools help us turn cancer data quality control into usable information. With the ease and ability to electronically dive into your cancer registry data, physicians, researchers, and administrators can quickly and proficiently review and validate the quality of care patients receive – without spending hours looking at medical charts.
Advocates for Cancer Data Quality Control
To enhance cancer data quality nationwide, CHAMPS finds opportunities to promote the importance of quality data, timeliness and accuracy. In addition, CHAMPS experts present at national conferences, such as the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) and the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA). They also author articles in national publications including ACCC’s Oncology Issues and Advance for Health Information Professionals and perform ongoing research and development of specialized quality assurance tools and innovative programs.
