Yolandi Myers is the vice president of CHAMPS Group Purchasing. As vice president, Myers is responsible for the division’s ongoing growth, customer satisfaction and retention, as well as helping customers maximize their savings, which in turn increases contract utilization and profit. 

Prior to this role, Myers spent six years working in various positions within the department, which gives her a well-rounded perspective of the business, its employees, customers, suppliers and industry. This expansive understanding allows her to make well-informed and strategic decisions about the direction of the business and the personalized service and purchasing assistance they provide to customers.

Her results- and service-driven nature has led to many positive changes in the departments’ structure and processes. Under her leadership, the client services team was formed in 2008 and quickly evolved into a critical aspect of the value CHAMPS Group Purchasing provides to customers. The client services team is the essential link to more than 13,000 member locations nationwide; the team continuously identifies and implements methods that assist customers to save more time while increasing their bottom line.

In this role, she also looks for additional ways to improve processes and streamline how CHAMPS Group Purchasing does business. Specifically, because of the nature of the industry, a goal of Myer's is to shorten the cycle between attaining a new customer and collecting revenue from that customer’s suppliers, which involves communication and better relationships with suppliers and distributors within the Premier and CHAMPS contract portfolios. Under her leadership, the business analytics and data team are also looking at ways to implement technology to automate and positively impact operations and enhance communications with suppliers and customers.

With much ambition, Myers quickly learned the complex nature of the group purchasing industry, created many successful and professional relationships, and helped build the strong, stable and successful team of employees who will be instrumental in sustaining and capitalizing on the tremendous growth they have experienced over the past several years.
